Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Savvy ("Savvy," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Savvy — the website, the app at app.withsavvy.ai, texting with Savvy, or forwarding email to a Savvy address — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use Savvy.
What Savvy Is (and Isn't)
Savvy helps you track and use the benefits, credits, and rewards attached to your credit cards: it catalogs what your cards offer, reminds you before value expires, answers "which card should I use?", and files receipts, gift cards, trials, and tracking numbers you send it.
Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract to use Savvy.
- Savvy is offered for personal, non-commercial use in the United States.
- Keep your account information accurate — including the phone number and email addresses you link. Only link a phone number that is yours.
- One account per person; one account per phone number. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
Free Trial & Billing
- Free trial. New accounts start with a free trial (currently 30 days). When it ends, continued use requires a paid subscription.
- Pricing. The current price and billing period are shown at checkout before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in Settings; your subscription then runs to the end of the paid period and does not renew. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refunded.
- Changes. If we change prices, we will notify you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal.
Text Messaging
Texting with Savvy is optional and opt-in.
- Opt-in. You opt in by adding your mobile number in the app, agreeing to receive texts, and confirming the number from your own device — by sending a text such as "START" to Savvy's number, or by entering a one-time code. Savvy only sends texts to numbers confirmed this way.
- What we send. Recurring benefit reminders, account notifications, and replies to questions you text us. Message frequency varies. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using Savvy or of any purchase.
- Rates. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts; reply HELP for help. You can also turn texting off in Settings.
- Your number. Only link a phone number you own. If you give up a number, unlink it — otherwise messages meant for you may reach the number's next holder.
Email Forwarding
Savvy gives you a personal forwarding address (yourname-xxxxx@withsavvy.ai). Email sent to it is processed to extract the things Savvy tracks for you — receipts, order confirmations, tracking numbers, gift cards, trials.
- Treat your address like a key. Anyone who emails it can add content to your Savvy account. Don't post it publicly; contact support if you need it replaced.
- Only forward what you may share. Forward only email you have the right to share with us — your own receipts and confirmations, not other people's private correspondence.
- Automated processing. Forwarded content is processed automatically (including by AI, as described in the Privacy Policy) to do the job you sent it for.
Connected Accounts
If you connect a bank or card account, the connection is made through Plaid with read-only access, used to match transactions to your benefits. You authorize Savvy to receive that data on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time in Settings; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Acceptable Use
Don't abuse the service. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use Savvy for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Link a phone number, email account, or financial account that isn't yours, or impersonate anyone.
- Probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service, or attempt to access other users' data.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or white-label Savvy without our written permission.
- Send content designed to manipulate or attack Savvy's automated processing.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Benefit Data & Accuracy
Savvy's benefit catalog is built from issuer-published sources and maintained with care — every benefit entry is traceable to a source. But issuers change their terms, and our data can lag or contain errors.
Intellectual Property
Savvy — the software, design, catalog structure, and content we create — belongs to Savvy and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it while these Terms apply. Content you send us (forwarded email, texts) remains yours; you grant us the license needed to process it for you as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Savvy is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that benefit data is complete or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Savvy's total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, missed benefits, expired credits, or issuer decisions.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Savvy and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where practicable). Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Disclaimers & Liability, Intellectual Property, and Governing Law — survive.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Savvy consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Savvy evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you — in the app or by email — before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use Savvy after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
